It really seemed
like we were done with winter. I sure am. But good old Mother Nature had other
plans. So our last few days have been less than inspiring, leading me to find
solace in the few standouts of the garden that are in full, glorious bloom.
That means mostly yellow sharpness contrasting with the deepening gray gloom.
When I do go outside for a few minutes and weather the very cold breeze on
these cloudy days, the massive yellow blossoms seem to start my engine buzzing
out of its doldrums. But I still remain mostly inside the house, near a fan
heater or the blazing wood stove. I do not enjoy being chilled to the bone.
Although I am brave when I have to be, I’m just another chicken inside the
House of Cluck-Cluck, when I don’t have to be.
Supposedly, I was
meant to de-clutter my bedroom today and go through my dresser drawers for the
umpteenth time. I told the old boy I’d be amassing lots of very tired old
clothing due to be donated to people that need these things a lot more than me.
But somehow I’ve only managed to make a fabulous spaghetti sauce and catch up
with emails and correspondence and none of that is obviously done outside under
a bush. Nope. I didn’t organize or reorganize my messes in my room (that I make
continuously just by being me), but on a sunny day I could manage quite well in
a couple of hours. Nope. I’m in my passive state today lulled by the
intermittent heat coming onto my blanket-clad-body as I sit in a comfy chair
with my feet up and a view to admire from the comfort of a warmish room.
But I will show
you some lovely images I snapped on my suitable days for taking photos of
wonderment I happen to come across in my travels.
I guess everybody needs a lazy day once in a while, and I’m enjoying mine to the fullest today. Oh well. All that drudgery will be waiting for me some other time. Lucky me.
